The 5th annual LEVITATION FRANCE will be held Sept 15 & 16, 2017, returning to the Le Quai theatre in Angers, FR.

The event starts each day in the afternoon and ends around 2:00am.  The festival is an All Ages Event.

Le Quai is a multi stage event space in the heart of the city, overlooking the Maine River, across from the Château d’Angers.

The venue is a public art space opened in 2007. Each season has offered around 60 different shows and 200 performances, plus exhibitions and events held in it multiple spaces.

LEVITATION FRANCE will utilize two stages at Le Quai.  The festival will transform the space with a stage in the main Forum, art and video installations, incredible live performances, along with food and artisan vendors from Angers and beyond.

Angers is located 300 km south west of Paris on the banks of the River Maine.

The city is rich in culture, with universities, museums, and arts programs. Angers is also rich in history as the capital of Anjou, with many historic buildings including the city’s incredible Château d’Angers (which houses The Apocalypse Tapestry), a stunning cathedral and other medieval sites. Excellent food and wine are also a hallmark of the city, which lies in the heart of the famous Loire Valley wine producing region.

It’s a walkable and friendly city, and the weather is beautiful in September. The festival starts in the mid afternoon each day, giving travelers time to explore the city, but you might want to give yourself an extra day or two to explore Angers and the surrounding area.

From Paris, the TGV allows you to reach Angers in 1h30 (and 2h30 from Charles de Gaulle airport).

Angers is also served by the OuiGo and Flixbus buses (about 4 hours from Paris).

The Angers St. Laud train station and train station are in the same location just a few meters from the city center and 1.5 km from the Quai. Bookings will open in June for trains and August for buses. To get the best rates, remember to book your train or bus tickets as soon as possible.     ►
